Folio (45 cm), pp. 24. Newsprint. While this issue is heavy on South and Central American news, two pages are dedicated to the U.S. Army's siege at Wounded Knee, and a short piece notes that convicted rapist William Janklow was elected Attorney General of South Dakota. (Later elected governor, Janklow successfully delayed the publication of Peter Matthiessen's groundbreaking work, In the Spirit of Crazy Horse). Another page is dedicated to a lengthy history of the 1866 Powder River War. Paper has moderate browning and edge wear, and--while delicate--can easily be read without further damage.
